"Life has been meaningless" Wizkid grieves months after his mum's demise

Grammy-awards winning Afrobeats singer, Ayodeji Balogun better known as Wizkid is still grieving the loss of his mother, Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun, months after her demise.

Wizkid shared his heartbreak on his Instagram story, expressing the profound loss he feels since her passing and describing life as meaningless without her.

He mentioned that he created “IDK,” one of his recent songs, following his mother’s demise, emphasizing that despite having four children, life feels devoid of meaning. In another post, he emphasized the importance of letting go and collaborating with God.

“Made idk days after I lost my mum. Life’s been meaningless! But we dey!!

Sometimes u got to let everything go.
Work with God!”.

Glamsquad recalls that Wizkid lost his mother on Friday, August 18th 2023.

In a video that made rounds on social media, Wizkid looked very sad during a nite of tribute held for his late mother. He got emotional during his speech at the tribute.

He said that the sadness he feels is really deep and painful. He mentioned that it was the most intense pain he had ever experienced in his life.

A befitting burial ceremony of Mrs Balogun saw dignitaries like billionaire, Tony Elumelu, Oba Elegushi, Osas Ighodaro, Kwam1, Wande Coal, Paul Okoye, Banky W, Pretty Mike, Mercy Eke, Kim Oprah, Layole Oyatagun, Morey Faith, Frank Edoho, Eniola Badmus, Tiwa Savage amongst others.
