“I want to maximise my business. And if I happen to get it, if I happen to be a billion-dollar athlete, ho. Hip hip hooray! Oh, my God, I’m gonna be excited.“
And indeed, he has become the first active NBA player to make the billionaire list, according to Forbes.
According to Forbes, the Los Angeles Lakers player has gotten the most out of his business, earning more than $1.2 billion before taxes. Over the last 19 years, James has earned more than $900 million in endorsements and other commercial ventures, with his NBA salary totaling $383 million from three different organizations.
