Lagos Fashion Week 2018 Runway Trend: Aso Oke

Aso-oke is an indigenous fabric, a hand loomed cloth woven by the Yoruba people of western Nigeria. It is prominent in traditional fashion, as the Yoruba tribe often use it for celebration however there’s been a growing interest from Nigeria’s young fashion industry as designers are using their creativity and innovation to include a flare of African culture into modern wardrobe.
