It’s so beautiful to see Nigerians lift each other up and that’s what’s happening wih Risikat Azeez-Ayegbami, a 30 year old mother of two whose husband walked out of their marriage because of she and their daughter’s blue eyes.
Risikat who is from Kwara state, went viral recently after a Nigerian lady shared the heartbreaking story. The story further made more headlines when Kwara State governor’s wife, Olufolake Abdulrazaq expressed willingness to help them.
Celebrating the beautiful mom and her kids, two talented Nigerian photographers, Adebayo Abayomi and Mofe Bamuyiwa separately decided to document the story in a bid to raise more awareness by gifting the trio a makeover and the photos shared online are breathtaking.
Sharing the post, Bamiyiwa wrote, “Risiqot said ,”she wouldn’t accept to change her eyes from blue to brown if a technology is/was invented. Beautiful Risiqot and a adorable children Kaosarat and Hassanat were sent away by her husband because of her blue eyes. During the interview we realized that she gave birth to a set of twins , Hassanat (2years old ) and her late twin brother who happened to have a brown eyes.”
