Given the nature of her pre-pregnancy wardrobe, we shouldn’t be surprised to see Katy Perry adopting a maternity uniform that is equally – if not even more – vibrant. The star, who is expecting her first child with Orlando Bloom this summer, brought out one colourful outfit after another during a stint in Australia in March – including a showstopping neon-yellow Valentino minidress.
An embellished peach Gucci dress with cantaloupe feather-trim cuffs was Perry’s outfit of choice for an appearance on the Australian TV show The Project.
Since then the pregnant star, who has confessed that she “hopes it’s a girl”, has been grappling with lockdown as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. But she hasn’t let it dampen her spirits, nor subdue her wardrobe.
She’s been showing off an array of floral looks on Instagram, neatly timed to coincide with the launch of her new single, “Daisies”. Most recently, she posted about Elon Musk’s postponed SpaceX mission in a suitably sci-fi shade of silver – Balenciaga pleats, no less.
