Kanye West sets to buy Parler App

Multi Grammy Award Singer, Kanye West now known as Ye has purchased Parler App.

The singer who will be venturing into politics come 2024 has followed in the footsteps of Elon Musk and Donald Trump to purchase his own social media were he can speak his mind.

According to TMZ, the rapper/producer has decided to purchase Parler, a now defunct right-wing social media platform akin to Twitter that was taken down early last year and uninstalled from numerous apps, including Apple, Google, and Amazon.

Ye is stepping up to help it in its battle to make a return since that time.

The details of the transaction haven’t been made public, and Parler cautions that a formal agreement still needs to be signed with Kanye, which it anticipates doing in the fourth quarter. According to reports, Parler had raised more than $56 million in funding to restore the website.

When Parler was first taken down, internet service providers complained that it wasn’t doing enough to thwart the spread of hate speech and potential violence. Similarly, KW was recently banned from Instagram and Twitter for his “White Lives Matter” rants as well as other public criticisms and anti-Semitic slurs.
