Controversial rapper, Kanye West better known as Ye has begun the process of buying the right-wing social media platform Parler – which has fashioned itself as the “free speech” alternative to Twitter.
This comes after Ye, 45, was locked out of micro-blogging platform, Twitter for violating Twitter’s policies after he made comments deemed to be anti-semitic.
The acquisition was announced by Parlement Technologies which owns Parler on Monday, 17th October in a press release.

Parler said that it has entered into an agreement in principle with Ye that’s expected to close later this year.
Parler added: “This deal will change the world, and change the way the world thinks about free speech.
“Ye is making a groundbreaking move into the free speech media space and will never have to fear being removed from social media again.
“Once again, Ye proves that he is one step ahead of the legacy media narrative. Parlement will be honored to help him achieve his goals.”

Ye in his statement about the acquisition said:
Parler’s parent company Parlement Technologies said the acquisition would help create “an uncancelable ecosystem where all voices are welcome.
