Jason Wu Resort 2023 Collection were very remarkable as Wu dug into the 1950s as a source of inspiration.

The outfits that most drastically advanced the attraction of the silver screen were a strapless Yves Klein blue dress with a pouf, train, and a silhouette like to one that Irving Penn would have captured in the past. Tulle gowns, including a light lilac one and a sandy-colored one with gathered net strips that took 100 hours to manufacture, were sweeter and softer.
A fuchsia shirt dress and torn tweed bra and mini combination show that Wu doesn’t just create clothing for red carpet events. He presented a turtleneck in stretch lace and dressed up a blue skirt suit with a floral corsage, realizing that people didn’t come to him for the essentials.
The most festive pieces from Resort, which goes on sale during the holiday season, were trimmed with a material Wu also used in his spring collection: a tinsel woven with raffia, “so that it took the Christmas out of it.” However, an LBD with the entertaining fringe trimming would undoubtedly qualify as a gift for oneself.
