Sidikat Odukanwi, also known as Iyabo Oko, a veteran Nollywood actress, has died at the age of 61.
Bisi Aisha, the actress’s daughter, revealed her death in a series of Instagram posts late Wednesday night.
Bisi posted, “My mum is gone. Rest well mummy. May ur soul Rest In Peace mummy”.
Actress Foluke Daramola-Salako also took to social media to confirm Iyabo Oko’s death.
She wrote on her Instagram page: “and finally we lost her… rip Iyabo Oko, we did our best but God knows best”.
GLAMSQUAD MAGAZINE recalls that last year, one of Iyabo Oko’s daughters, Olamide, disclosed that her mother was diagnosed with ischaemic stroke about five years ago but kept her health issues away from the public.
The deceased battled with ill-health which caused her to take a long break from the movie scene.
She was born on the 15th of November 1960 in Iwo Local Government Area of Osun State.
