The AMVCA 2023 awards saw actress Iyabo Ojo stepping out in a gorgeous outfit which cost her N37.5million. A fan has however messed with the outfit by recreating it’s copy.
In a post on her Instagram page, Iyabo Ojo disclosed that her outfit at the 9th edition of the show, cost $50,000 which is equivalent to N37.5 million in Nigerian currency and was designed by Celebrity stylist, Toyin Lawani.
However a fan named Dacoaster on Instagram recreated a copy of her dress in a comic way. He also mimicked her appearance and poses at the show in a video on Instagram. Read also
This made Iyabo reveal her intention to sue Dacoaster for messing with her AMVCA dress.
Sharing the video on her Instagram page she wrote,
“Please, i need an Idan lawyer, who has Oba lawyers number, i need to sue this guy……… nobody should beg me oooo, we shall meet in court ………. my $50,000 💵 dress, no wayyyyyy”.
The African Magic Viewers’Choice Awards, AMVCA 9th edition held on the 20th May 2023 at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The show witnessed many celebrities stepping out in expensive and luxurious outfits.
One of the celebrites at the event, Natacha Akide, a big brother Naija ex-housemate, broke the internet when she revealed that her dress cost $20,000 sharing receipts.
This left a lot of people surprised at the huge amount she spent on her dress. However Iyabo Ojo’s dress has surpassed Tacha’s own in currency as she claimed her dress cost $50,000.
