Mavin Records star Rema had an outstanding 2022, all thanks to his hit track ‘Calm Down’ which spread like an inferno across the globe. The original sound is a track off Rema’s debut “Raves and Roses’’ album in 2022.
Following its release on February 11, 2022, ‘Calm Down’ became the fastest Afrobeat song to hit 100 million views in less than 3 months.

Due to the song’s success, American singer Selena Gomez collaborated on a remix with Rema.
Talking about the remix, Selena said:
“I am really excited to see the person that asked me to be on the song that I couldn’t be more honoured to do. So…The song is fun, I hope people like it.’’
Like Selena hoped, the impact of the song traveled beyond borders and thrilled listeners across venues, be it at a club house, stadium, and other public centers. After the remix with Selena, the song rose to No. 8 on the UK Singles Chart and peaked at No. 35 on Billboard’s Hot 100.
