  • “Yoga” moved to the top of the music charts in Nigeria in less than 24 hours

On the eve of Monday, January 30, 2023, Asake released the visuals for “Yoga” his first single for 2023.

The YBNL singer thrilled us in 2022 with numerous hit sounds, from Omo Ope to Sungba, Terminator, Joha, Organize, and more. Without a doubt, the prodigy discovered by Afro-beats legend Olamide was the biggest thing to happen to the Nigerian entertainment industry in 2022.

After an exceptional 2022, one would have thought Asake could go down the pecking order a little bit, but the singer’s new single shows we are not prepared for what he has to offer in 2023.

As of the time of this report’s writing, the song has over 2.7 million views on YouTube.

Yoga, which is currently the number one trending topic on YouTube, has topped music charts in Nigeria as it overtook Rexxie’s Abracadabra for the number one spot on Apple Music Nigeria.

In 2022, Asake had collaborations with Nigerian stars of global reputation such as Grammy Award-winning singer Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Olamide, and a few others. We believe Asake will follow in the footsteps of fellow YBNL singer Fireboy by doing a couple of global collaborations in 2023.

A BET Award might not be far-fetched for the Nigerian singer.
