It is an accepted fact that relationships and marriages have ups and downs, but it is expected that whatever decision is made, it has to be made with a clear and open mind.
The case of Nigerian legendary singer, Innocent Idibia better known as 2Face or 2Baba has continued to generate buzz on social media after allegations of him being charmed by his politician fiancée, Irobosa Natasha Osawaru surfaced.
2Baba is married to Nollywood actress and entrepreneur, Annie Idibia and according to what we see on social media, their marriage is doing just fine despite the cracks here and there from the past. Sadly, everything went from one hundred to zero on the night of January 27th 2025 after 2Baba’s official Instagram account announced his separation from Annie and their ongoing divorce proceedings. At first, another post came up discrediting the first post and blaming hackers but shortly after, a video made rounds where 2Baba himself stated that he was the originator of the first post and everything written is true.
Oh! The video sent everyone into a frenzy as many questioned who 2Baba would leave Annie for.
Irobosa Natasha Osawaru
Hours after the announcement drama, bloggers did their bit by unveiling Edo State Politician, Honourable Irobosa Natasha Osawaru as the new lover of 2Baba. It was also revealed that 2Baba proposed to her on the night of January 27th and that they are expecting their first child together.
For Natasha, she has been enjoying undiluted publicity as she has ceased the avenue to showcase her political works. Well, she allegedly has some issues that have somewhat dented her image. For example, blogger, Cutie Julls alleged that she is also a drug abuser and backed it up with a series of videos showing her under the influence. It was also alleged that her relationship with her ex-fiancé was very chaotic as she allegedly beat him up on several occasions. Many believe 2Baba is definitely out of his mind to want to be with someone like Natasha.
Rose Idibia
On the morning of February 14th, Rose Idibia, the mother of 2Baba made a passionate appeal to Natasha Osawaru to free her son shortly after a video of the love bird proposal surfaced online.
In a video shared online, the mother of three pleaded with Natasha to remove the beads tied around her son’s hands and neck, urging her to set him free. She claimed her son was not in his right senses as he was going through a divorce from his wife of over a decade, Annie Idibia.
“Good evening Nigerian, my name is Mrs Rose Idibia. This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I am calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to release or free my son. My son is going through a divorce process and is clearly not in his right senses. I know my son, this isn’t him. Please, Natasha the beads you put on his hands and his neck, remove them and free him”.
The drama didn’t just stop there. The Idibia’s family went further to petition the Department of State Security (DSS) over the mysterious disappearance of 2Baba since 10th February and efforts to reach him proved abortive. The call for a missing person explains why 2Baba appeared out of the blue at the Edo State House of Assembly on Tuesday for no just reason.
