Toyin stated:

“It was not an easy task. My manager had to bring in an American counselor to speak with me. I knew I needed therapy, but even when you know you need it, you can deceive yourself.

“I was in denial, but I was depressed.” I would frequently sit down and cry for no apparent reason. Even when people were around, I was terrified. When people called me for something good, I would get scared.

“I was unhappy, and despite being well fed, I lost weight.” I was extremely thin. I would call my manager and cry because I was always sad. I was feeling down. The incident occurred within the last three years.”
