INTERVIEW: My Marriage To Teddy A Is Ordained By God — Reality TV Star, BamBam

The Nigerian entertainment industry has witnessed all classes of relationships – the good, the bad and the ugly.

Fans drool over celebrities who are in relationships and marriages and pray for them to last. However, we have seen how it ends up being sour for most celebrities especially when they can’t reach a compromise.

Oftentimes, fans on social media tagged as the ‘online in-laws’ assume the role of ‘Judge Judy’ to figure out which celebrity is responsible for their failed relationship or marriage.

Speaking about marriage, Big Brother Naija ex-housemate Bamike Olawunmi better known as BamBam has disclosed that her marriage to another BBNaija ex-housemate, Tope Adenibuyan, better known as Teddy A, was ordained by God.

In an interview with Saturday Beats captured by Glamsquad, BamBam noted that she cannot relate to celebrities whose marriages have crashed because she doesn’t know what happens in another person’s relationship.

She said,

“I cannot relate. I don’t know what happens in another person’s yard but in my yard, it is mandatory (for my marriage to work).

“I have two daughters, and I cannot afford to fail them, except God says otherwise. It is God’s will for me to be in this marriage, and He is enabling us to work it out, no matter what.”

BamBam who has since ventured into acting was asked if her parents supported her. She said,

“No, I did not. They felt what I was doing was stupid; they said, ‘let life teach me a lesson’. But, when I participated in BBN and came out, I think the fact that I succeeded and I’m still succeeding is what got me some form of parental support.”

The 33-year-old went on to express her gratitude to the organisers of Africa’s biggest reality TV show. She noted that it was an opportunity she did not take for granted. She said,

“It was a great opportunity for me and I don’t take it for granted.”

BamBam and Teddy A (celebrity couple) met on Season 3 of the Big Brother Naija show themed “Double Wahala“.

They got romantically involved with each other in the house and took it a step further. They announced their engagement on 4th August 2019, and had their white wedding on 16th November 2019, in Dubai.

They welcomed their first child Zendaya in March 2020 and the second child, a baby in March 2022.
