Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele has finally opened up about her broken marriage with JJC Skillz. She revealed that she cried and lost some business deals when her marriage crashed in 2022. Read also: Funke Akindele and JJC Skillz hug and dance at an event, a year after separation
Funke was recently interviewed by popular media personality, Chude Jideonwo, and she disclosed that her marriage with JJC Skillz crashed because she didn’t take her time before settling down.
According to the movie star, she pressurized because she just wanted to get married, do things right and have kids. Read also: Have JJC Skillz and Funke Akindele Reconciled?
Her marriage failed and made the news big time on social media.
She said,
“Take your time, if you rush in you will rush out. You know, I just wanted to get married. I want to do things right, have children and all that. When I went into the marriage, it didn’t work fine. And it ended in a very bad way, in social media, the noise was everywhere. I was actually filming and somebody called me and told me, I wanted to die!”.
Funke stated that even though she cried and lost some good business deals when her marriage crashed, she didn’t allow it to break her.
Funke said, “You know I cried, lost some good deals then. But I didn’t let it break me. Thank God for my mum who encouraged me to put more effort to work. I channeled the energy to work and I kept saving more. I didn’t let the situation break me down.”
