One of Nigeria’s finest skitmakers and upcoming singers, Efe Oderhohwo, better known as Carter Efe has disclosed that becoming a father has led him to stop doing certain things.
In an interview with Punch Saturday Beats obtained by Glamsquad, Carter Efe said since becoming a father, he has changed his actions, including refraining from posting videos of himself dancing online in just boxers.
He acknowledged that Fatherhood has motivated him to improve his skills and avoid repetitive behaviours that may become tiresome for others over time.
Cater Efe said
“I do things differently now because I am a dad. There are some things I did before that I don’t do again, such as posting videos of myself online dancing and wearing only boxers. It (fatherhood) has made me upgrade my craft. I also can’t keep doing the same things, because people get tired with time.”
Speaking about his career path in the music industry, Cater Efe said
“Music is a gift from God to me. When I came out with the ‘states and capital’ song, it went viral beyond my expectations. I know it is a funny song but then, I am a comedian. I usually obey my instincts. And, when I feel like it, I call another artiste. Music and comedy are not distinct for me, and I won’t be separating them.”
Cater Efe who is originally from Delta State but moved to Lagos State for greener pastures discussed his fondness for the state. He said
“Everyone in Lagos is a ‘hustler’. Everyone is determined and don’t joke with their business. I love Lagos, because it is a place where one can easily make it. People don’t sleep in Lagos. Even me, I barely sleep at night.”
Pointing out a few of the basic things he longs for from his life before fame, he said
“Before, I could go out to play football or take a walk to something for myself. Now, I cannot do things anyhow. I miss a lot of things, but as long I am making money, I am okay.”
