Nigerian radio host, television host, YouTuber, lifestyle entrepreneur, actor, and author, Toke Makinwa was born on November 3, 1984.
Toke is well-known for both her YouTube vlog series Toke Moments and for hosting The Morning Drive on Rhythm 93.7 FM.
On Becoming, her book, was published in November 2016. She is one of the top five female program hosts from Africa.
When Makinwa was eight years old, both of her parents perished in a fire tragedy. In November 2016, she published her memoir On Becoming. The book discusses her personal hardships and Maje Ayida’s betrayal, who is now her ex-husband. To promote the book, Makinwa on a book tour. Nigeria, South Africa, the U.S., the U.K., and portions of East Africa were all covered in the journey.
