Julie Bowen, a Modern Family star, has revealed that she was once in love with a woman despite the fact that she is straight, glamsquad reports.
Bowen revealed this in the most recent episode of her podcast “Quitters.” The actress, 52, stated:
“I’m not gay. I’ve always been openly gay. For a while, I was in love with a woman, but she didn’t love me back.
“She liked women, but not in that way she liked me.” It never really took off, so I never had to question my sexual identity.”
After guest “Bachelor” alum Becca Tilley revealed that coming out was a “stressful” experience for her, especially after appearing on two seasons of the ABC show, the actress made her confession.

“I’m just attracted to people,” explained the 34-year-old reality TV star, who is currently dating Hayley Kiyoko.
“I hope that one day people will not need to come out because it adds a lot of stress and weight.” Life is already difficult enough; falling in love should be a natural, beautiful thing that people should not have to explain to anyone,” she added.
Bowen, who played Claire Dunphy on “Modern Family,” observed that when people ask others to “identify themselves,” they frequently inquire about their sexual orientation and what they do “in the bedroom.”
“What you do with your body should not be the first thing we know or care about about people; it is your business,” she said. “Like you said, I hope people don’t have to come out all the time.”
