Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Adekunle Olopade, has disclosed that he regrets dating his colleague, Venita Akpofure.
Glamsquad recalls the duo dated during their time on the BBNaija Season 8 All Stars edition held in 2023 but parted ways shortly after the show ended.
In a recent episode of his podcast, Deks & Friends, Adekunle revealed that he regretted entering a relationship during his time in the house, admitting it was never part of his original plan for joining the show.
He said,
“If there’s anything I could change about my time in the house, it would be me getting into a ship. That wasn’t part of the plan.”
In other news, Adekunle in an interview with YouTuber Olufemi Daniel, officially confirmed the end of his romantic relationship with Venita in 2024.
The 28-year-old said he and Venita had a post-show conversation about their relationship, but the outcome wasn’t what they had hoped for.
He said,
“I would like to think that we were in a relationship in the Big Brother’s house. I wouldn’t want to use the word love. It’s too strong for that scenario. But what we had was more than an understanding. I think we when were in the House together, it was a real thing”.
“After the show, we had a conversation about our relationship. Out of respect for her and also because she’s not here, I will not give out the details. But we had a conversation outside the House. It was a conversation and it was an understanding but the end result was not what was anticipated.”
Shockingly, Adekunle disclosed that they no longer communicate.
I don’t talk to her anymore because we don’t have a relationship. We don’t communicate, we don’t speak [with each other]. A lot of bad things happened, that’s why I’m not going to share them here out of respect for her.”
