Grammy award-winning singer, Burna Boy has paid a tribute to the late South African rapper, Kierna n Forbes better known as AKA.
Taking to his Instagram story, Burna Boy disclosed that he just heard that AKA passed away and saw the viral clip of him being shot at a restaurant.
He further disclosed that the video took him out of a positive mood.
The ‘Last Last’ crooner went on to recount his last moment with the deceased; he revealed that the last time they met, AKA saw a g*n with him and questioned the need for it. He also revealed that he tried convincing him to get one.
Burna Boy said he wished things didn’t end up the way they did with AKA because it is a regret he has to live with. He prayed for AKA’s soul to rest in peace and also prayed for the wrath of God on his killers.
He wrote;
“WTF is all of that about/I just heard he died, seen that video at that restaurant/ Took me out of a positive mood/ Took me back to that day when you saw my gun and you said I was wild/ Then I told you you should have one too/ Cuz it weren’t like niggaz wasn’t dying but I thought you knew/ And I ain’t really fuck wit you/ But I didn’t want you dead, it was like that with me and you/ Wicked!/
“I hope they catch whoever did you wicked/ I hope you rest in peace. Even though we ain’t kick it/ At the end of the day we some grown ass niggaz”.
“I wish it didn’t end like this. Another regret I gotta live with “.
Glamsquad reported five days again that AKA was was shot dead on Friday night, 10th February 2023.
South African news outlet, IOL reported that another person believed to be AKA’s bodyguard was also wounded, while an unidentified person, who is understood to be a close friend of AKA, was also shot dead in the drive-by shooting. Read here
