Speaking at the ‘Elevate Africa’ event, Davido emphasized how his music career has created unparalleled opportunities for his family, surpassing the affluence and achievements of his father.

The ‘Awuke’ crooner revealed that his international tours often double as cultural exchanges, with world leaders eagerly seeking to meet him and engage with his artistry.

Davido said,

“Aside from my dad’s businesses and wealth, I know how many doors my music has opened for my family. Yes o, forget the money. I have 14 presidents’ phone numbers. I can call them directly.

“In every country we go to, the president wants to meet us. That’s also promoting our culture. It’s an amazing feeling.”

In other news, Davido cried out over the plot in motion to derail his December 24th concert in Lagos following his recent interview.

Glamsquad recalls that In a recent foreign interview, Davido issued a warning to Black Americans considering relocation to Africa, cautioning that life on the continent isn’t as glamorous as it seems, citing economic struggles.

However, Daviod clarified that his intent wasn’t to disparage Africa but to highlight its beauty while leaving out the harsher realities.

Davido’s remarks sparked backlash from notable figures like Reno Omokri, Patrick Doyle, Akashat Nymat, and others, who criticized him for what they perceived as unflattering comments about the continent.

Addressing the criticism, Davido fired back, claiming that their outrage stems from his status as the true African ambassador.

Meanwhile, celebrities such as Kanayo O. Kanayo, Ruggedman, and Paulo solidly backed Davido.
