Big Brother Naija All Stars winner, Ilebaye Odiniya has disclosed her encounter with fellow housemate, Ike Onyema after the wrap of the reality TV show.
Glamsquad recalls that while in Biggies’ house, Ike and some other housemates treated Ilebaye badly and scared her because they perceived her as the youngest.
Ike deliberately threw Ilebaye’s clothes including her undies on the floor of their closet and went on to litter them around the corridors of the house. While some of the housemates including Ilebaye looked on in disbelief, Mercy Eke packed the clothes and helped her to dry clean them.
In a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Ilebaye talked about her feelings regarding the situation with Ike in the BBNaija house. When asked about her emotions at the time, Ilebaye conveyed profound sorrow and a feeling of inadequacy.
She pondered why she deserved such treatment and yearned for improved communication. Feeling wounded, she wished for a resolution that didn’t involve the throwing of her clothes.
She said;
“I felt sad. I felt low. I felt like what did I do to deserve this? Like any human would literally be hurt. Even if I’ve hurt you, I’ve said something bad about you, you should have just come to me and told me Ilebaye, this is bad. You should have just done something that I would know yes, I’m wrong. But not throwing my clothes. I just felt like god, just open the ground, let me just enter inside. Cuz I was literally so so sad. My energy just went so low.”
When asked how she coped with intense moments like this in the house, Ilebaye revealed her coping mechanisms.
She revealed that she frequently sought solace in her bed, letting herself cry and let go of her emotions. Occasionally, she found comfort in the privacy of the restroom, where she could express her feelings through tears. Prayer also aided in her healing journey, offering her solace and fortitude.
She said;
“I just go to bed, and sleep, and cry. I either go into the toilet and cry out my mind, or I go to bed, pray, cry, and sleep.”
However, despite the difficulties they faced in the house, Ilebaye and Ike have successfully reconciled since leaving the house. She revealed that she had a conversation with him, addressing the incident directly.
The Gen Z Baddie said Ike offered his sincere apologies, acknowledging his wrongdoing. Since that time, their relationship has grown stronger, allowing them to engage in cordial conversations.
Ilebaye stressed that she bears no ill will and is ready to move on.
She said
“But I and Ike, we are cool now. Once outside the house I talked to him, I asked him about it, and he apologized. I came out and he said “congratulations, I am so sorry for what happened in the house”. We even gist. If I see him, we just talk.”
