“I Didn’t Get A Dime” – Burna Boy Reacts

Singer Burna Boy has said on Twitter that he is not a Nigerian artist even though he is a Nigerian.

Burna Boy’s ‘Ye’ Certified Gold In USThe controversial singer is getting dragged by Nigerians on Twitter after he revealed that he doesn’t make money from Nigeria.

It all started after a Davido fan account with the username,@ABetterTime, said in a Twitter discussion that Burna owe it to other artists for all his achievements.

“He was *just an average star back in Nigeria and Africa at large, more like an artist with prospects, unlike his peers who had to do it on their own from day one.” Davido’s fan said.

Burna then tweeted, telling his fan to ignore the “delusional fanbases” after they tried to defend him.

“Bro. Don’t get worked up. It’s Nigerian Twitter with 2 delusional fanbases, trust me You are not talking to actual people if their handles look like that.” Burna Boy tweeted.

Another Twitter user than responded to the discussion, as he says Burna Boy will soon leave Twitter for Nigerians.

Burna then responded; “Me wey no even be Nigerian artist.”

May D Speaks About Davido And Burna Boy's BiffA follower told Burna that he’s denying his motherland and Burna responded: “I’m from here and I live here because I love my home and my people, E no pass like that. I don’t make money from Nigeria. Na only cruise dey here.”

This led to Twitter outrage, as Nigerians accuse Burna of using Nigeria for clouts. They also reminded the singer that received money from Rivers State governor Wike during the homecoming concert.

Reacting to the tweet, Burna denied claims that he was paid: “Lol. I didn’t get a dime. Only the artists who honoured me by performing at my homecoming were paid. Get your facts right.”Burna Boy Manchester United New JerseyPhoto Credit: Getty
