Despite the fact that the loan was used on a failed real estate project, the monarch stated that listening to music saved him from committing suicide.

Ooni also stated that as custodian of the House of Oduduwa, he took it upon himself to establish a viable model of social cohesion.

The monarch stated that the power of music can help to strengthen people during times of adversity.

Music, according to Ooni, is a form of communication with God.

“There is power in music,” says Ooni. Music saved my life when I was a young real estate investor on the verge of committing suicide. Music is an excellent means of communicating with God.

“At a young age, I had become very successful in the real estate sector.” I took out a N8 billion loan about 12 years ago to build a high-rise building, which I had to pull down by myself when we were already on the 10th floor, and the money was wasted.

“After that, my life was turned upside down, and the only option was for me to commit suicide, but listening to a series of inspirational music reset my thinking faculty.”

“I’ve since adopted music as a very powerful problem-solving tool when faced with a challenge.”

Ooni also stated that he has decided to invest in music and art for the economic and mental empowerment of youths and the underprivileged.
