Nigerian songstress, Tiwatope Savage better known as Tiwa Savage has hinted at quitting music.
The mother of one shared via her Instagram story that she is currently working on what could be her final studio album.
She further hinted that her decision to step back might stem from feeling she has given her best and is now exhausted. Tiwa Savage wrote:
“This might be my last studio album.
I’m tired. I don try”.
Glamsquad recalls that in a recent interview, Tiwa Savage stirred reactions after declaring herself among the big 3 in the industry. Tiwa Savage was quite unbothered by the backlash she received following her declaration.
Tiwa has no doubt come a long way in the industry and is one of the biggest artistes in Africa.
Last year, the songstress made history as the first African artist to perform at the coronation of a British monarch. Tiwa Savage delivered a breathtaking performance at King Charles III’s coronation ceremony earning widespread admiration and making Nigerians proud. Reflecting on the milestone, Tiwa shared that one day she will proudly tell her son, Jamil, that she was the one who graced the historic event.

In other news, Tiwa Savage disclosed the shocking reasons the country breeds so many superstars.
In the latest episode of ‘Shopping The Sneakers’ podcast, Tiwa Savage noted that living in a country like Nigeria is difficult and this has made the youths explore their talents and consequently given rise to the huge amount of superstars springing up.
She said,
“When you come to Nigeria, you will understand why we breed so many superstars. To survive in Nigeria is something else so that’s why the artists that come out of Nigeria are just like hustlers. They are just hustling.”
Nigeria boasts Africa’s largest entertainment sector, dominating in movies, music, comedy, and fashion. Nollywood, its film industry, ranks as the second-largest in the world.
