“I am a leader myself” – Davido speaks on the 2023 presidential election

Afrobeat star, David Adeleke, famously known as Davido has spoken up concerning the recently concluded 2023 presidential election.

Davido, who is frequently outspoken on political topics, kept his supporters in the dark about his opinions on the election.

Nonetheless, he revealed that he supports himself as a leader in a recent Channel4news interview. Davido  expressed his satisfaction at the reception of his most recent album, “Timeless,” while acknowledging that the elections had been difficult for Nigerians.

Davido declined to condemn other musicians for their silence when questioned about their statements made during the election.

He said;

“The elections were tough. It was a tough period for Nigerians. I’m happy that I drooped the album and it was accepted. I know people are still going through a lot in the country and everybody knows that even in the past I have been vocal about politics.

” I don’t blame. Some people have families, and children. Do you understand? Some people are built for it, some people are not and I can’t blame anybody. I’m sure everybody has their views personally, you know? And if you dint want to talk about it, it’s obvious where you stand.”

When asked about the leader he supported, he wrote;

”Myself, I’m a leader myself”
