Hyper-realistic Sculptor – Ron Mueck

Hyperrealism is an art concept. An advancement of photorealism.  The concept has garnered attention by galleries, art enthusiasts, and collectors around the world. Apart from Sam Jinks, John De Andrea, and Duane Hanson, Ron Mueck has gained immense recognition for his hyperreal human objects.

Australian born, Ron Mueck, creates lifelike fiberglass, and clay cast figures. He avoids life-size figures and instead scales the size so as to garner the emotional and psychological effect.  The London-based sculptor uses pigmented polyester, fiberglass, resin, hair, silicon materials amongst others to bring out his objects.

His projects typically take four stages: sculpting, molding, casting and finishing, all performed every day for about a month before exhibited or kept in his North London studio.

His sculptings are well sorted, because of the uniqueness of its expressions and their creepy nature.
