Microsoft’s Windows 11 operating system includes a number of enhancements designed to improve the user experience. Clipboard history is one such function that saves records of recently copied or cut items from the system that can be used at a later time.
The clipboard feature normally only holds one thing at a time, however the Clipboard history feature increases the holding capacity. When the feature is activated, the user has access to 25 recent items rather than just the most recently copied or cut item. This means that the user can effortlessly copy many objects to the clipboard and paste them elsewhere, eliminating the need to switch between two programs.
We will show you how to enable the Clipboard History function on Windows 10 or Windows 11 computers in this step-by-step guide.
How to enable Clipboard History in Windows 11
Step 1: Launch the Settings app on your Windows machine. To do so, go to the Start menu and select the Settings app (gear icon), or press the Windows + I keys on the keyboard.
Step 2: When the Settings app opens, select “System.”
Step 3: Finally, from the left-side pane, select “Clipboard.”
Step 4: Toggle the switch ON in the Clipboard history area to enable the feature.
After you have performed all of the above procedures, the Clipboard history feature on your Windows machine will be enabled. By hitting the Windows + V keys on your keyboard, you can view the history at any time. Please bear in mind that the Clipboard history only saves the past 25 copied or cut things on your system.
