Here’s how many billions of dollars were spent on apps in the world

Although it may appear to be an exaggeration, nowadays there is an app for practically anything.
People with a certain level of discretionary income use the Apps for anything from grocery delivery to “managing” their electronic toothbrush.
People aren’t scared to spend money on these apps, either.
Consumer spending on mobile apps was $ 33.6 billion globally, according to a Sensor Tower analysis.
In the third quarter of 2021, Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store will be available.

Total consumer expenditure on in-app purchases, premium apps, and subscriptions is included in this figure.
This figure has risen from $ 29.2 billion to $ 33.6 billion year over year.

 

In terms of games and app concerns, Android is the clear winner.

The increase is attributed to Android smartphone users, whose spending increased by 1 percent.

Apple’s App Store grew at a slower pace than Google’s Play Store.

According to the Sensor Tower research, “consumers on the Apple marketplace compared to Google were around 1.8 times as much as in previous periods.”

According to Sensor Tower’s estimate, global mobile game spending climbed 7.7% year over year to $ 22.4 billion in the third quarter of 2021, owing mostly to Google’s marketplace.
Consumer spending on mobile games on the App Store climbed 5.6 percent year over year, from $ 12.4 billion to $ 13.1 billion, while spending on Google Play increased 10.7% year over year, from $ 8.4 billion to $ 9.3 billion.
The Sensor Tower analysis stated, “Although consumer spending on mobile games continues to rise, growth in the category has progressively leveled.”
