This month of May will be jam-packed with intriguing game releases that you should definitely keep an eye out for!
Leading the Pack
One of the most anticipated game releases this month is the multiplayer mode of Halo Infinite’s Season 2, Lone Wolves. This comes after the long-drawn season one is finally coming to a halt.
The new release will be featuring new multiplayer maps, balance updates, and an all new Battle Pass. There will also be two multiplayer modes included in the game such as the Land Grab and a free-for-all elimination mode called Last Spartan Standing.
Two of the biggest highlight for the Lone Wolves are the new maps- one for Arena and the other for Big Team Battle (BTB). Meanwhile, Catalyst will serve as the new Arena map, which looks like a slightly overgrown Forerunner facility that includes a Gravity Hammer placed on a high position.
The BTB map is the Breakers, which appears to be a UNSC base located in the middle of a sandy desert, it also has a large, moving laser in a central chasm that is aimed to destroy anything that touches it, so if you’re in Warthog you might want to note this once you play the new game.
Another game leading the pack is the Trek to Yomi, a black and white videogame that is heavily influenced with the aesthetic of a classic samurai film.
The narrative revolves on a young swordsman named Hiroki, who is obligated to protect his town and loved ones against all threats. Taking a classic tragedy bound backstory, the samurai’s quest is to venture between life and death and forge his own path.
This new game is equipping its players for an atmospheric experience, from its black and white graphics, cinematic camera angles, and a soundtrack that encapsulates the whole vibes of a samurai film.
However, if you are craving for something gore and horror, With Evil Dead: The Game is perfect for your taste. This was based from the popular American horror franchise in 1981 which has eventually grown into a series.
The game will feature main character Ash Williams after 41 years. It will include over 25 weapons and several multiplayer maps that were based on locations from the movies such as “Cabin in the Woods.” This will be the perfect game for fans of the franchise and what makes it even cooler is that it will be released on Friday the 13th of this month!
