The Facebook AR/VR Conference is an annual showcase that highlights new features and design enhancements for Meta’s virtual reality and augmented reality products (now renamed). A full segment was devoted to the Oculus Quest 2 and the games that it supports. Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, announced that the company has been working with Rockstar to create a version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas that will work natively on the Oculus Quest 2.

Blade & Sorcery: Nomad will be an exclusive release on the Oculus Quest 2 later this year, alongside GTA: San Andreas.

The conference also concentrated on games that are already compatible with the Oculus Quest 2. A slew of events for Population: One, Oculus’ battle royale game, have been announced, including autumn and winter events. Beat Saber has also surpassed $100 million in lifetime revenue on Oculus, and a new way for players to interact with the music and gameplay has been teased. Meta is also collaborating with Vertigo Games, a VR-focused developer, to bring five titles to the Oculus Quest 2, including titles from Deep Silver, the publishers of Saints Row and Chivarly 2.

There is no current release date for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for the Oculus Quest 2. It’s unclear whether it will be extended to other VR headsets in the future.
