The Google Pixel 6 series was released last year, and the business took notice of its specifications. In recent years, the flagship smartphone of the tech behemoth has not been very spectacular when compared to other brands.
According to recent rumors, the incoming Pixel 7 Pro will have camera specs similar to its predecessor. This is what the leaker has to say about the report.
Google Saw Success With Pixel 6 Pro
According to BGR’s story, Google has been keen on its smartphone release lately, especially for its Pixel 6 series lineup. The search engine titan has carried out a big transformation and innovation on its recently-released handheld devices.
In doing so, the company ditched the previous strategy that is used for the Pixel 5. The success was also attributed to Tensor, the firm’s first custom chip which was first tested on the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
The people have quickly adapted to the new design of the Android flagships. In addition, the most noticeable change that was placed in the device is the horizontal camera bump at the back of the phone.
Other than that, the Pixel 6 Pro also sports the third camera lens, making it the first Google handheld to have this feature. This hints that the successor could likely stick to the original specs or improve it a little for a change.
Pixel 7 Pro Camera Will be Retained
This year, Google appears to be planning on retaining the camera specs for the leaked Pixel 7 Pro. As Android Police spotted via leaker Yogesh Bar, the company would “most likely” put the same optical features on the upcoming flagship. That’s the same camera that we have seen on Pixel 6 Pro.
We will most likely see the same optics on the Pixel 7/ 7 Pro that Pixel 6/ 6 Pro had.

The reliable tipster claimed that the Google flagship will carry 12.5 MPf/2.2 ultra-wide sensors and the 50MP f/1.85 GN1 primary lens. It turns out that the firm will add additional improvements to it to fully take advantage of the Tensor chip.
At this point, the rumored Pixel 7 Pro has no final release date yet. However, we could assume that the upcoming lineup will be launched in October 2022.
Early Google Pixel 7 Pro Design Renders
Tech Times reported in February that a new leak about the Pixel 7 Pro emphasized its alleged “similar” look to the Pixel 6 Pro.
When it comes to their renders, the two smartphones have remarkable resemblance, according to their leaked appearance. The rumor also stated that the predecessor’s trademark camera bar module will be incorporated in the upcoming flagship.
Furthermore, the acrylic windows on the mmWave antenna looked to have been removed in the leaked model. This likeness was also apparent in the Pixel 6 series.
