Glo Campus Storm trills University of Nsukka

IT was a show like no other, for students, non-academic staff and the entire members of the University of Nigeria Nsukka, as the UNN edition of the Glo Campus Storm held with a bang.

Students of the institution couldn’t have enough as Globacom brought in the crème de la crème of Nigerian musical industry.

Marvin Record signee, Korede Bello, held the crowd spellbound with hit tracks such as Ada Ada, Mongo Park, Everybody Come Close, and Baby Romantic. When he introduced his popular God Win track, the crowd simply went wild.

Korede was so moved by the response of the crowd that he ensured that a few of them who got on the stage ‘got alert’ from him with cash gifts given on the spot.

Nabania crooner, Flavour, was also there with new sensation Runtown. Together with Korede they ran things on stage until the crowd was drenched in ecstasy.

Flavour, capped the evening playing with his live band and proved that he was a master in the game. He cruised from the Professor Johnbull soundtrack, Erudite Professor, to his Waka Waka satiric songs of waywardness, to Adama, exhibiting his sexy figure.

The event held at the Ekpo Convention Centre right on campus, also featured comedy exponent, Gordons, who compered the event. Gordons was just marvelous with his extempore cracks. He drew the audience out for a comic fight they could not win.

DJ Neptune was also on duty at the juke box, dishing out danceable tunes after tunes.

To spice up the evening, 10 students of the school who contested for the Glo Campus Data Dude and the Glo Campus Data Diva pageants went home with cash prizes ranging from N50, 000 to N100, 000.

Eneboa Valentine was crowned Glo Campus Data Dude with a cash prize of N100, 000 and Ifediora Chimdindu was crowned Glo Campus Data Diva also with the same cash prize. Eight other students, comprising four boys and four girls, also won N50, 000 each.

They will be part of a grand finale offering scholarship worth N1million to the overall winner of Glo Campus Ambassador contest.
