Ex-Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, has passed away, SaharaReporters reports.
The 70-year-old former public official was said to have been on a life support machine since last Friday at a Lagos hospital,
after slipping into a coma following alleged Coronavirus complications.
On Monday, the news outlet had reported that the ex-governor was in deep coma and
may not make any recovery going by the observations of medical experts around him.
They also stated that Ajimobi had a lung surgery since being rushed to the hospital but
made no progress while his kidneys had also failed.
However, word got out and rumours started swirling the internet over his health to which his media aide debunked his death.
Unfortunately the projections came true on Thursday as the ex-governor, Abiola Ajimobi finally gave up the ghost.
As at the time of this report, the cause of his death is yet to be confirmed from a reliable source.
