Givenchy Fall-Winter 2023 Ready To Wear Collection

Givenchy Runway Show for Paris Fashion Week FW23 Ready To Wear Collection has brought an era of fashion to the light as their color choices are exceptional with some remarkable accessories which stood out among other brands. It all started with a trio of emerald green looks that culminated in a replica of a ’70s green silk dress with a floral pattern that inspired the Williams-designed jewelry.

Other archival nods included the Hubert-drawn fish print, which was later used in a diagonally running wrap dress inspired by Williams’ consideration of a McQueen-designed couture dress in snake print. Look 48’s all-black floral embroidery in technical fabric was inspired by a multi-colored piece by Hubert in more traditional fabrics. In contrast to the voluminous box pleats of Act One, the dresses were frequently cut open at the back.

Carine Roitfeld, who has been consulting with Williams and Givenchy on womenswear, sat front row alongside Jared Leto, who is now several stops into his post-Gucci tour. “We have a conversation about making desirable clothes,” Williams said of their interaction. The women around me inspire me so much. And she knows the house so well because she spends so much time with Carine. We literally only discuss clothes.” With Roitfeld, Williams is forging a Givenchy womenswear identity that spans generations and continents.
