The news about the crash of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi’s marriage to Olori Silekunola Moronke Naomi Ogunwusi broke the internet after the prophetess took to her Instagram page to announce her divorce.
Many stories was shared online about how the marriage allegedly crashed, but a source close to the palace has opened up to Glamsquad Magazine on what allegedly happened.
“The Queen finds the king’s extramarital affairs annoying and believes it is an insult to her and the kingdom; he should marry them if he likes them, but she will not take any disrespect from anyone.” The source revealed.
“The King was actually in a relationship with a controversial UK blogger, Abike Jagaban. This move hurt Naomi so bad” The source added.
“As Abike Jagaban went on and on to anyone who cares to listen that Naomi is a small girl and not the only wife, other wives in the palace ganged up against her because she is the only one the king flaunts online. The situation became tense in the palace when the new queen Ashley came onboard.”
“Queen Ashley, who is said to be deeply rooted in their tradition and knows a lot about it, is now the King’s favorite. She represents the king for any traditional stuff that Prophetess Naomi can’t do, and the attention began to shift away from her and her family because nearly all of her family stayed in the palace with her. Queen Ashley was everywhere, and this didn’t sit well with Naomi and her family because she bore the king’s heir.”
“All these made Queen Naomi angry and she decided to leave” the source concluded.
Recall that this is the third divorce the Ooni of Ife is facing.
Before becoming King, the Ooni married for the first time in 2008.
Adebukola Bombota was his first wife. They divorced a few years later.
Shortly after becoming King in 2016, the Ooni married Olori Wuraola Zainab, a Benin native. In 2017, the marriage ended without a kid.
In 2018, the Ooni wedded Olori Naomi Silekunola, a well-known prophetess. The marriage ended on December 23, 2021, one year after their son was born.
