Giorgio Armani debuted evening wear on the haute couture catwalk in Paris last week using a traditional, diamond-patterned harlequin motif. The fashion house display some impressive designs that left their loyal customers in awe as the design choice are everything we wished for and more.
Models carried the motif as they slowly made their way down a glossy runway, their outfits mirroring the ground’s light pink, green, and purple hues.
Elegant trouser ensembles—black, satin pants paired with pink and emerald-green bolero jackets—opened the performance.
The series was designed to twinkle and shine against black geometric outlines and backgrounds. On coats in a range of color intensities, the lozenge pattern was embroidered in crystals or patchworked in metallic leather.
It continued to give off the impression that it was timed to appeal to various personalities and tastes: at times playfully in all-over diamond-patterned pajamas with a Pierrot ruff, for a young person with a quirky sense of humor; at other times, very chicly in long, sinuous long-sleeved paillette dresses in various different shades of pink.
Then came slim gowns with diamond patterns that were outlined by sparkling beadwork that shimmered when worn, frequently with matching shoes and small handbags.
