‘Keep riding...’ Gideon Okeke crowns Zubby Michael Nollywood’s biggest star

Nollywood actor, Gideon Okeke has hailed his colleague Zubby Michael as the biggest star in the Nigerian film industry.

Taking to his Instagram story, Gideon praised Zubby Michael, declaring him the biggest star in Nollywood. Drawing a biblical analogy, he likened himself to Elizabeth recognizing the greatness of Mary, acknowledging Zubby’s exceptional talent.

The father of two emphasized that God’s expressions manifest in varying magnitudes and that it takes humility to celebrate His work in others. In his words of encouragement to Zubby, he revealed he had met him and urged him to keep thriving and rising.

“Zubby Michael is the biggest Nollywood star. But like Elizabeth, I know what Mary is carrying. God’s expression resounds in different decibels. It takes ONLY humility to submit in praise to God. Keep riding, my broda. I see you.”

This declaration comes months after Zubby Michael and Timini Egbuson were embroiled in a heated debate over who deserves the title of Nollywood’s best actor.

In the premiere episode of the Prime Video original reality show Ebuka Turns Up Africa, Zubby Michael boldly declared himself as Africa’s greatest actor.

However, Timini Egbuson was quick to challenge Zubby’s assertion, stating that he wasn’t smaller or less significant than him. Not one to back down, Zubby fired back confidently, boasting about his financial strength, claiming that he could purchase Timini if he chose to.

In another episode of the show, Timini fired back stating that Zubby didn’t truly know him well enough to make such a boast about having the financial means to buy him.

Timini further asserted that Zubby and his peers were notorious for showcasing borrowed cars on social media, casting doubt on their financial credibility.
