Film director and rapper, Abdulrasheed Bello popularly known as JJC Skillz is celebrating one year anniversary of him reverting to Islam.
Taking to his Instagram, the ex-husband of Actress Funke Akindele, noted that he was able to revert to Islam through the help of his big brother.
According to him Islam has brought him immense growth, understanding, and spiritual fulfillment in the last one year.
He expressed gratitude to the Muslim community for welcoming him back to Islam with open arms.
This is coming a year after his marriage with actress Funke Akindele broke down. While they were married, JJC Skillz who is originally from a Muslim background, converted to Christianity probably because Funke is a christian.
However after their marriage broke down, the rapper reverted to Islam, his originality.
He wrote,
“Today marks the anniversary of a significant turning point in my life. Guided by the support of my beloved big brother. On the 10th of July 2022, I embraced Islam and embarked on a path that has brought me immense growth, understanding, and spiritual fulfillment.
Reverting to Islam has allowed me to forge a deeper connection with my Creator, finding solace and peace in the knowledge that I am part of a greater plan and it has granted me a sense of purpose.
I am indebted to the Muslim community, who have welcomed me with open arms and embraced me as one of their own. Their unwavering support, friendship, and camaraderie have instilled within me a profound sense of belonging and unity.
This journey has not been without its challenges. It has demanded introspection, self-reflection, and a willingness to question my preconceived notions. However, it is through these challenges that I have grown, emerging with a renewed sense of faith and an enriched perspective on life’s intricacies.
As I continue to thread this oath, I am aware that the journey of faith is an ongoing one. There will always be room for growth, learning, and seeking a deeper connection with God.
To those who may be considering a similar leap of faith, I encourage you to embark on your own personal exploration. Allow your heart to be open to the possibility of growth and embrace the transformative power that faith can bring.

Why I returned to my father’s religion, Islam” Funke Akindele’s ex-husband, JJC Skillz spills
Recall that early this year, JJC Skillz had announced his return to Islam, his father’s religion.
The ex-husband of actress, Funke Akindele, made this known on his Instagram page.
JJC Skillz revealed that he was lost but now had been found while pleading got a pardon. He prayed for his creator to veil his weaknesses and set at ease his dismay.
“I was lost but now I’m found. O Allah, I ask you for pardon and well-being in my religious and worldly affairs and my family and my wealth. O Allah, veil my weaknesses and set at ease my dismay and preserve me from the front and from behind and on my right and on my left and from above. And I take refuge with You lest I be swallowed up by the earth”.
JJC Skillz further confirmed his return to his father’s religion in an interview with an Islamic online platform, Muslims News.
JJC Skills said he was originally born into an Islamic family but he never practiced it as he chose to follow the faith of his mother.
