Former Football star Tijani Babangida marries actress Maryam Waziri

Tijani Babangida, a former Super Eagles footballer, married Kannywood actress Maryam Waziri.

The ceremony took place on Friday at Kaltungo, Gombe State.

Maryam uploaded a video of herself on Instagram on Saturday with the caption “officially taken” and a ring emoji.

She wrote: May Allah protect me from any undertaker dat will take me from my taker ….officially taken

Babangida was also given with the chieftaincy title of Baraden Wazirin Kaltungo, after being a member of the Dream Team that won gold in Atlanta in 1996.

The 48-year-old former Ajax footballer documented the occasion on Instagram.

Maryam, who was born on November 9, 1992 in Gombe, rose to fame for her part as Laila in the film Labarina.

The role gained the 29-year-old the moniker Laila, which she is well-known among admirers.

Her spouse, who retired from sports in 2004, is now a football agent.

He is also the president of the National Association of Professional Nigerian Footballers (NANPF).
