Folorunsho Alakija, Nigeria’s wealthiest woman, and her husband, Modupe Alakija, have allegedly separated after more than three decades together.
According to reports from The Will, the marriage of the billionaire businesswoman seems to have encountered turbulence, with Folorunsho Alakija and her husband, the father of their four children, no longer residing together in their multimillion-naira matrimonial home in Ikoyi, Lagos.
According to the report, the couple has been having frequent fights, which allegedly led Folorunsho to demand privacy in her home, which left her husband with no choice but to seek accommodation elsewhere in the same neighbourhood.
Sources close to the couple also mentioned that despite their public appearance, their relationship has been rocky for a while. They’ve been presenting a united front mainly due to their status, even though things between them haven’t been going smoothly for years.
