Fenty Maison: The New Luxury Line By Rihanna With LMVH

Rihanna keeps achieving major milestones. With her, there is no stopping because money must be made and new grounds conquered. Early this year, there was news that Rihanna’s next act in fashion would be with the world’s largest luxury group, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE as her partner.

This has officially been confirmed! The Fenty Beauty CEO and the French luxury group has issued a brief statement stating that the new luxury line, Fenty Maison would be based in Paris.

According to the brand,

“It will be centred on Rihanna, developed by her and takes shape with her vision in terms of ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories, including commerciality and communication of the brand.”

In a statement by the New York Times,

“Rihanna will become the first woman to create an original brand at LVMH, the first woman of colour at the top of an LVMH Maison, and her line will be the first new house created by the group since Christian Lacroix in 1987. It joins such storied heritage brands as Dior, Givenchy, Celine and Fendi and positions Rihanna as a breakthrough designer on a number of levels.”

 

The Fenty Maison collection would make a debut just in time for Spring 2019 retailing and would be distributed mainly via digital channels and on www.fenty.com with Fenty getting a new logo.

According to Bernard Arnault, chairman and chief executive officer of LVMH,

“Everybody knows Rihanna as a wonderful singer, but through our partnership at Fenty Beauty, I discovered a true entrepreneur, a real CEO and a terrific leader. She naturally finds her full place within LVMH. To support Rihanna to start up the Fenty Maison, we have built a talented and multicultural team supported by the group resources. I am proud that LVMH is leading this venture and wish it will be a great success.”

Per Rihanna, “Designing a line like this with LVMH is an incredibly special moment for us. Mr Arnault has given me a unique opportunity to develop a fashion house in the luxury sector, with no artistic limits.
