FASHIONS FINEST AFRICA: EPIC SHOW 5TH EDITION RETURNS WITH INNOVATION

In the light of evolving Fashion trends, Fashions Finest Africa, the organizers of ‘The Epic Show’ is back with the 5th Edition of the show.

The Epic Show which showcases developing trends and styles in the fashion industry debuted first in May 2018 and has since then run subsequently.

It is the biggest gathering for fashionpreneurs who are already in the industry, the emerging ones and newbies in the industry across Africa.

This year’s Epic Show revolves around how the fashion industry in Africa can be sustained and meet up with the demands of international standards globally.

The event which is highly anticipated is scheduled to hold from 3rd June 2023 to 4th June 2023 at Balmoral Convention Centre Victoria Island.

In a statement released by The founder of Fashion’s Finest Africa, Mr Sola Oyebade, said that the 2023 edition is aimed at celebrating fashion designers coming up with new and innovative designs in the industry.

In lieu of this, this year’s edition comes with a competition inorder to bring to spotlight, up and coming fashionpreneurs and also encourage brands to build sustainable fashion businesses.

“To do this, we have introduced a special competition this year tagged “Design For The Future (D4DF)”. This competition is set to spotlight incredible new designers in the fashion industry that are doing amazing things with sustainable fashion.” Mr Oyebade said.

Over 80 entries were received by judges to compete in the preliminary stages but only 10 entries that made it to final stage will get the opportunity to showcase their designs on the Epic Show Runway.

According to Mr Oyebade, this year’s show will kickstart with the ‘Business of Fashion Conference’ and take an in-depth approach to enlightening new and emerging fashion creatives.

With the theme “Fashion for the Future”, the ‘Business of Fashion Conference which promises to be innovative will take place on the 3rd of June by 10am and the topic to be discussed is: ‘Positioning Your Brand for the Global Market’.

The panel of judges consists of outstanding fashion icons who have made statements with their creativity in fashion both in Nigeria and in the diaspora. They include Internationally recognized Stylist, Teni Oluwo, Chief Executive Officer of ‘Style Territory’, Fashion Influencer, Akin Faminu and the Tallest Model (Fashion) in Sub-Saharan Africa, Bakare Mubarak.

Among the order of events for the conference is a special Fireside Chat with Nigerian Fashion Mogul, and International Stylist; Toyin Lawani, Founder and CEO of Tiannah Empire. She will be discussing the basics on how to sustain a fashion business in the face of competition.

The Epic Show will also feature 5 fashion shows while over 30 designers from within and outside Africa will participate including Mmakamba and JP Kingdom from London.

Oyebade added that Fashions Finest Africa is dedicated towards setting up and sustaining new and emerging fashionpreneurs.

“We are dedicated to using our organization as a grand opportunity to set up new and emerging fashion entrepreneurs as well as help fashion business scale up through our conferences, exhibitions and fashion shows.” Mr Oyebade stated.
