The Dutch avant-garde luxury fashion brand called Viktor & Rolf was established in 1993 by Viktor Horsting (born in Geldrop in 1969) and Rolf Snoeren (born 1969, Dongen). The flamboyant silhouettes, clever material choices, and irreverent ideas that the designers would later become renowned for were first seen in early shows. In 2000, Viktor & Rolf unveiled their brand image, a wax seal with the initials V&R, and started applying their creative skills to ready-to-wear collections.
