Musk has also changed his profile picture to a younger version of himself holding a phone. The new CEO previously stated his desire to make Twitter a free space.
The change came after Twitter’s advertising chief, Sarah Personette, announced her resignation on Tuesday, November 1, following an exodus of nearly the entire senior ranks.
Except for the few questions that Musk answers via tweet, the company has stopped responding to media inquiries.
Personette, the company’s chief customer officer, leaves after multiple executives were fired last week, including former Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal and Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal.
Leslie Berland, Chief Marketing Officer, and Jay Sullivan, Head of Product, have both announced their departures. Berland was photographed by DailyMail.com leaving Twitter HQ looking depressed.
Dalana Brand, Chief People and Diversity Officer, announced her resignation last week in a LinkedIn post on Tuesday. Nick Caldwell, general manager for core technologies, confirmed his departure on Twitter, changing his bio to ‘former Twitter exec’ by Monday night.
Musk’s team is meeting with advertisers in New York this week, as the company’s increasingly concerned customers raise concerns about the possibility of harmful content appearing next to their ads.
