The rumored Drake curse was given its name in the late 2010s in reference to sports teams’ propensity to lose championships when Drizzy endorses them, whether through something as basic as Drake taking pictures with players or being seen wearing a specific team’s jersey.

Drake staked $1 million on Argentina to win the World Cup in regular time before yesterday’s match. Drake placed the wager on Stakes and, according to a post on his Instagram Story, would have won $2.75 million.
