Don’t casting blame in broken marriages you know nothing about – AY Makun

Nigerian comedian and filmmaker, AY Makun has shared his thoughts on 2Baba and Annie Idibia’s divorce, urging the public to avoid pointing fingers.

AY condemned the habit of online commentators sensationalizing failed marriages without knowing the full story. He emphasized that, rather than assigning blame, people should reflect on why the institution of marriage is increasingly under threat.

Urging them to hold back their opinionated takes, he tweeted:

“Instead of casting blame in broken marriages that you know nothing about, why not focus on the reasons why the institution itself is under attack. No one goes in with a plan to fail.

It’s troubling to see online inlaws and blogs revel in sensationalism, often at the expense of those hurting. Real lives are involved—let’s choose empathy over drama and content. Some of you will never rest until you lead a fellow human to suicide.”

Unlike Ay Makun and Nasboi who have decided to stay nutral on 2Baba and Annie Idibia’s divorce sage, that Media personality, Toke Makinwa, actress, Iyabo OjoMary Remmy Njoku, BBNaija Khloe, Ife Agoro, amongst others slammed the music icon for bringing his marital issues to social media.
