American singer, Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, popularly known as Doja Cat attended the Schiaparelli fashion show and was totally unrecognizable.
The 27-year-old singer of “Say So” was virtually unrecognizable in the front row of the Schiaparelli Haute Couture show on Monday during Paris Fashion Week after covering her bald head, face, and body with more than 30,000 blood-red Swarovski crystals over body paint.
According to a press release, the extremely innovative appearance was created by renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath and was motivated by the first chapter of Dante’s “Inferno,” which also served as the inspiration for this season’s Schiaparelli creations.
McGrath reported on Instagram that it took roughly five hours to make the “magical, mesmerizing masterpiece,” writing, “Doja’s patience and commitment … was truly inspiring.”
Doja enhanced the impression by donning a matching red strapless Haute Couture dress by Schiaparelli, which she paired with a beaded skirt and knee-high boots, along with a dramatic wrap and enormous statement earrings in the same crimson color.
