This phase combined into a Mad Max x Y2K-inspired series of nomadically formed knitwear that had been expertly laser-plucked into pleasantly wild, apparent disrepair. To reflect Marten’s taste in grown-up hair dye, two deftly tufted knitwear pieces—one pink on black, the other gray on black—were there.

Utility clothing that has been painted and overlaid in a subtly wild paint-splash camo contrasts with double-layered jersey pieces where the upper layer is occasionally peeled back to show the inner layer. Dresses made of tiny swatches or torn silk strips dangled precariously from delicate chain fittings. On a particularly successful period of near-climax fits, close-up prints were created using digitally warped images of overly-cheeked smiles.

The craziest items were found in the hand-crafted artisanal department; these featured a long jacket of layered lining and a moto jacket that alluded to the opener artfully melted and then overlaid with another skin—accidentally vaguely vaguely condom-like in consistency—of membrane. Martens correctly stated that he thinks his Diesel design language is getting easier to recognize.
